The business thesis follows a physical constraint: computing equipment must receive reliable power and remove heat within the site's operating limits. A deployment is useful only when those systems work together. Higher rack power can increase thermal and electrical requirements, but the revenue opportunity depends on architecture, content per installation, competitive share and the timing of energized capacity.
The earnings bridge is therefore deployed capacity times addressable content, multiplied by realized supplier share, then converted through margins and working capital. It should not equate hyperscaler capex with Vertiv revenue. Customers also purchase processors, networking, buildings and other assets, and some announced spending precedes operational demand by several years.
